ok, so i have my DJM upper and lower control arms(3 inch drop) on and i also have my 2 1/2 inch drop spring in and the spring is loose in there if i put a load on it the spring tightens. is it loose in there because i dont have the wheels on and it isnt sitting with the weight of the vehicle?
or do i need a special spindle to go with those upper and lower control arms? they told me i didnt? well any help would be great. thanks

I think that is okay. I used to have some cut coils in my truck and when I'd jack the front end up, the springs would be loose. Got any pics of your progress?

I have heard that if you run shorter shocks, that they will keep the a-arms compressed enough to keep the spring tight. Can anyone verify this?

So basically you have both arms at full droop, right? If this is so, then yes they will be loose in there since you are using a shorter than stock spring.

mine are cut and when I got it on jack stands I pulled them right out.
