Powder Coat Lock?

Checking to see if anyone has had issues with powder coating door lock cylinder ? It's on a 1971 and there does not appear to be a way to remove the bezel on that year. I know the powder coaters normally do not want to coat anything with moving parts.

Re: Powder Coat Lock?

I wouldn't do it unless you could just take the stainless face off. The powder coat is going to make everything stick and if they sandblast it prior to coating (which they should) it'll get sand in it. I would suggest to just paint it. I just painted my door handles and mirrors with Cerakote a ceramic gun coating that is very tough and fairly pricey but it is amazing stuff.

Re: Powder Coat Lock?

Thanks, checked their site, sounds like pretty durable stuff. How did you spray it?
