Finally found my '70

Just picked up this '70 K20 numbers-matching pickup from a guy in Alabama. Had a most difficult time locating an original C/K20 4x4 that wasn't a complete basket case.

Originally a California truck. Zero rust or upgrades.

How did you go about buying it from out of state? Did you have someone inspect it for you or just buy it "on faith"

Re: Finally found my '70

Gang -

Looking for some stock wheels and hubcaps for this '70 K20 4x4. Anybody have some laying around? Or can you tell me the specifics on which wheels I need so that I can start hunting around the local tire dealers?

The white steel wheels that are on it now don't have the tabs that the hubcaps clip onto.

Thanks!

Kyle

Re: Finally found my '70

I used the website www.uship.com to find a hauler that could bring it to me. He picked it up on a Saturday morning, and it was at my house on Monday evening. 2650 miles for $1900.

I remembered the website from the TV show 'shipping wars'. It is very well set up and easy to use. I recommend it to anyone needing to move a rig.

Re: Finally found my '70

Duramax, nice truck for sure!

You're going to look for the 69-72 chrome hubcap with the blue bowtie for the correct caps on this truck. 67-68 had the clip style caps for 3/4 ton.
