Accelerator pedal measurement

I am working on an LS 5.3 swap into our 85 C10. Going to be cutting the new LS DBW pedal and welding on the original accelerator pedal arm from the 85 truck.

The only problem I'm having is that the stock pedal was in my truck, just not hooked to anything as the engine and cable were long gone. When I got it, the pedal just laid on the floorboard. So I don't know where the pedal was in relation to the floor when the engine was in there. I want to weld up the new set up so it has the same exact travel as the stock one did.

Can anyone with an 85 and a 305 4bbl give me a measurement from the end of the pedal arm to the firewall? Even if it is to the firewall padding, that would help me place it in the right spot.

Thanks in advance

Jay

Re: Accelerator pedal measurement

No One?
OK, How about a measurement from the pedal pin to the floor board? Again, stock 305 4bbl would be great. Just want to get the new Electronic pedal in the same place.
Thanks,
Jay

Re: Accelerator pedal measurement

Hey, got an 84 305 but the throttle cable is disconnected, I've got about 3.5" from the pedal pin to the carpet. Probably almost 4" if my carpet was out.

Hope that helps.

Re: Accelerator pedal measurement

Thank you, used this to start the mock up. Finger crossed I can keep the pedal in the same spot and fab the brack to the drive by wire controller for the ls motor.
