Re: cab sails

I don't think they sell them separate from the moldings .
you can make them they are
6 1/4 X 1/2 inch with a hole in each end for the screws to attach them to the cab.
one of the long sides is bent so the molding will slip under it .

Looks like LMC just sells the screws. Those are hard to find and even harder to get loose if ya find em on a trk. Probably make em like mentioned earlier. I have a set someplace if ya want I'll find em and take a pic. I would like to put mine on but the screw location and holes are a bit tricky. the little screws holes are threaded for reg. counter sunk super tiny stove bolts. I guess ya could use a sheet metal screw. I think it's goin be hard to figure where the strips go . anyway let us know how ya do.

Re: cab sails

Thats why I've never installed any. There really isn't any good info other than the assembly manual, but that doesn't show the bracket/clips they use. And conducting a search hasn't brought that information to light. I will be subscribing.

Re: cab sails

first, the double sides tape will probably work I used it to see if I liked the sails on my trk. second, I think a guy could make those rails. they just need to be bent all the way along one side so you can slide the sail over and then the two or three screws that hold it to the inside of the door/cab frame hold it in place. the rails just go out on the side of the cab so ya can't see the screws.

I would agree with making them, I suspect they do not need to be heavy gauge steel anyway.

The automotive tape is what I will do, as the sails are lightweight.

I have some nasty ex factory tape and it sticks like mad.

I am sure you will be fine either way.

Re: cab sails

they are so ez to make . all you need is 2 pair of visegrips to bend them.
or if you cant bend one side up so the molding will slide under it then just make them flat and put tiny washers between the brackets and the body to space them away from the body so the molding can slide under them.
they don't have to have the fancy bends like the factory ones in the picture .
you can even use aluminum and they don't even have to be 6 1/4 long they can be shorter
no one can see them after your moldings are on.
