What front end is this? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi People,
chasing info to what this front end graft might be in my truck, was told it was a Camaro one. just want to be able to ID it so in the future I have an idea what model parts to buy. Only have this photo available, can get more when I get back from work offshore in 3 weeks

It looks vaguely like Camaro. More pictures?

70-81 Camaro/Firebird. Perfect.

thanks tmoble, appreciate the info... as you could appreciate there's not that as many Camaro's around me in Oz that I can climb over looking at the suspension trying to nut this out

The great thing about those is that bushings, ball joints and other front end parts are reasonably common and most interchange with the 73/77 Chevelle size cars..

One difference among models is the diameter of the front sway bar as the performance versions had pretty beefy (thick) sway bars while the lower performance units had thinner sway bars. Set up right they make for a great driving truck in a TF truck.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
