Free 65 short bed frame?
New to site and love it.so my question is inherited a 68 c20 long bed step side and want to go short bed! (Wife's grand dad bought new)I can get 65 frame free would the hassle of modifying be worth the savings of buying a 67-72 shorted frame. (Both are 2wd )

Re: Free 65 short bed frame?
I was thinking the frames are the same. I know at least thru '67 they were the same as 63-66. That being the case all you should need to find is a short bed box.

Yeah I didn't think about the bumpers but I'm pretty sure you could work around that easy enough. The shape of the frame and the mounts should all be in the same place though.

Re: Free 65 short bed frame?
The rear cab mounts are 1" difference in height.
I think there is something about the core support too

Did the 3/4 tons still use the shear type rear cab mounts in '68?
