Pulling the transmission- C30

I am about to pull the engine and transmission in my C30. It has a small block 350 with a SM420 4 speed (I think) manual that has the stick in the middle of the floor. How does the trans come out? Do I need to pull the floor pan and pull the stick out of the trans? Does the trans drop down far enough to get the stick out of the floor pan? What?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Pulling the transmission- C30

You will need to remove the shifter by pushing down on the retainer and twisting CCW. You will also need to remove the trans hump.
