Radio Options
I'm looking for options and opinions for a head unit that doesn't require cutting up my dashboard. Previous owner cut holes in the doors for 6x9s so I will use those for speakers. I'm looking for something that will ideally use Bluetooth and USB.

I like retrosound , custom auto sound is crap , in my not so humble opinion / experiance

Retro sound, Custom auto sound, google search 67-72 chevy truck radio.. Use the search function above in the blue menue list above and click the advanced tab, and type in some key words like Retro Sound, Custom Auto Sound, Stock radio upgrade, GaryTayman.com

I had a guy take my stock radio and modify it so that I had AM and FM and a wire that would plug into my I-pod to work
yet it still looks exactly stock he said he could also add blue tooth and some extra for better sound , but I just kept it simple , I'm old school technology I guess you could see if anybody in your area does that modification or any body else on the board might know some one anybody ......... |

Search Gary Tayman. He converts am radios to am/fm with optional Bluetooth, iPod jack and bass input/output. I had a custom autosound and I wasn't super happy with it, but with this new Gary Tayman one I have no complaint

Retro Sound makes an excellent stereo for a little over $200.00 my sons have them in their trucks, have bluetooth and usb,just google retrosound

I may just put the AM radio I bought here from a member in mine, although the dash has been cut up. Whether I install it or not, I'm going to continue to use this bluetooth receiver. Pretty easy to modify a cig lighter/usb adapter so that it gets the power it needs with key on, then connect the rca out to your amp. Just remember, most amps need a 12v signal from a stereo head to come on so you'll need to connect that line (usually blue) to a 12v switched as well.
I've tested a few of these and like anything, the real cheap ones are crap and beep a lot... this one is still inexpensive ($29.) but it works great for what I need. And it's about the size of a pocket watch, so easily hidden under dash or in ashtray.
