Thinking of parting with my baby..
Yep. A lot of time, effort and money. Changing jobs, moving, and having another kid is gonna be reasons have to part with it.

Re: Thinking of parting with my baby..
Take your time(if you have some) with that decision, so many I have met say, "I wish I hadn't..." although coming from me, take that advice with a grain of salt, for I have no kids (that I know of) and you can always get another truck.

Re: Thinking of parting with my baby..
Do your best to wait it out. Soon the trucks will be gone and the money it brings you will be to then all that will be left is regret. I have NEVER talked to anyone that said I'm glad I sold my old __________.

Oh Man, Please don't do it. you will not recoup even half of the cost of all of your upgrades and you will end up regretting selling it in a couple of years! Of course only you know your situation and you have to take care of your family first. I will be rooting for you either way!

I don't know your situation, but it will most likely bring you regret in a few years. The money goes quick with a kid, and you can fork over $1000 and have someone take the truck where you want it or pack it on a trailer and there'll be no problem.

Re: Thinking of parting with my baby..
I say keep it if at all possible. I have seen too many times that someone sells a project that they have spent thousands of dollars on just to wind up damn near giving it away because it's a project. I know this because I have purchased many of them. If you can find a way to bite the bullet and keep it, you should. I doubt you would regret it. WES

Re: Thinking of parting with my baby..
The way I see it.. the scattered money you would get from parting out a mostly finished truck, would be gone in no time, but the truck would be gone forever and the regret would always be there. I would think about this for a while if I were in your shoes... and I have 5 kids, although the youngest ones are the twins at 21 years of age... But a car/truck guy has Got to have a way to relax with or without kids.
Me personally... if I didn't have something that gets me out of the house, I would have been divorced a long time ago...

Keep it, period. Good for you for being willing to sell for the fam, but keep it. Unless it's bad and you're gonna loose the house or fam is hungry obviously

Re: Thinking of parting with my baby..
funny you say that... when work gets slow I start yelling at my dispatchers telling then they are making me chose between paying bills and feeding the family or buying truck parts... and the family is getting hungry and the candles are burning low!
