Goodmark Hoods and inner fenders?
How well do the hoods and inner fenders fit our trucks? I know there was a post about the fenders the other day. Some liked, some didn't. Is this the same thing with the hoods?

I had bought the inner fenders and found several of the holes to be way off. I traded them for some rusted oem's. Go oem.

I agree, go with OEM if possible. Goodmark quality seems to be hit and miss.

Thought I would tell my story of inner fenders.
I was looking through every junkyard in my area for them here in Indiana. Everything here in a junkyard that old is always rusted beyond repair. But, I finally found an old 67 which was used by a roofing company. The inner fenders were great. I paid $25 a piece for them. Now I wish that I had bought the rest of it because it was pretty solid... too late now. Good luck with finding a set. I also strongly agree that getting OEM is the way to go.

Guys I know I sell the stuff but before I even started selling parts I used aftermarket stuff also even before the quality got a little better. They are a lot of tricks you can do also you can not pull none of it off OEM or aftermarket without having to adjust it. Anyway has anybody ever looked at one of these trucks that is all orginal and never been touched. The panels did not even line up from the factory. I just wonder what everybody is going to do when all the OEM stuff is gone? Also for example they are more than one company making inner fenders buy from someone that knows there parts. Remember you get what you pay for.

I have sold reproduction ( not goodmark ) inners to board members and on ebay and would like some feedback on them, good or bad. We switched suppliers about 4 years ago and saw a noticable differance.

68 was a notoriously bad year for gm quality due to labor disputes. The 1968 corvette I had that was unmolested had horrible fit and finish (until I molested it...) This may hold true for the trucks also.

My ENTIRE front clip is REPRO and fit's great. Of coarse I worked in a body shop when I was younger, so I have a little experience with re-pops.
I was told they are all made in the same place with different boxes. I know this to be true with Tv's car stereos, even shoes. The Nike jordans you are wearing were made in the same factory as the Payless jordan look alikes. Yes I worked for them too, when I was 19 I worked for Volume Shoe in Topeka KS, the only distributer for all payless in the nation.
