Are there two different brake pedal brackets?
I was doing some reading earlier, confirming that you can in fact add a clutch pedal to an auto bracket, and I ran across this post, which claims there are two different pedal brackets.
Does anyone know if that is actually the case? And if so, what's the difference between them? My shop manual only shows one, of course.

I've swapped from a manual to an auto and all I did to remove the clutch pedal was to slide it out from the brace. Unlike the link you posted, I unloaded and removed the spring first. If I remember correctly it was a pain to get out, but I got it. Don't know why you couldn't go the other way

So my trucks are both the same, though the pedals sit at different heights? Confused.
However, in searching about a bit I've found that apparently there are two different types, and now that I think about it the C30 I used to have had the type with the heavier, vertical spring:

I am doing a 1971 K20 4X4 Restoration and I converted it from an automatic to a 4 speed. And I just went through this. After getting the extra pedal and parts I took apart the single pedal I reassembled it with both pedals they bolted right up to my bracket which then bolted right into truck UNTIL!! I went to hook up clutch pedal spring I found that the bracket that from automatic is smaller at top and gives nowhere to attach the spring. So yes they are different.
