Tell me ain't so

I know I don't know all of the packages that came on these trucks, but I've never heard of this one. Have any of you ever heard of an El Camino SS package on the 67-72 trucks? I'm being told that only eight were built. Please tell me it ain't so.

More likely the SS option on the El Camino, which wasn't too common. No car maker builds eight of anything--there's no point.

Re: Tell me ain't so

How would GM keep that straight? They were building El Camino's during those years. Wouldn't make sense to have an option named after another model. I'd have to call BS on the story.

It would be like ordering a Corvette with a Camaro SS option.

I thought this was way cool! Not factory, but should have been. BTW, welcome to the best forum out here.
