inside frame fuel tank for sidepipes?
anyone installed a fuel tank inside the frame?
between the frame and driveshaft? weve pondered the install of sidepipes to complete our 70s retro rig, I cant see this really being safe without moving the side saddle tank inboard. although ive seen pics of trucks in the 70s with sidepipes... and Ive seen a few pics of where chevy actually mounted Ford Ranger tanks inboard |

Just do the blazer/suburban tank swap like everyone else.
I seriously doubt GM did a ranger tank swap of any sorts. More likely it was a Billy Joe or Jim Bob who did that.

I vote this direction too.
Also, LMC makes a nice kit to relocated the tank to the rear as well. |

GM considered it, probably fearful that the fedgov was going to force them to recall the trucks with the sidesaddle tanks http://www.autosafetyresearch.org/AS...%20Pickups.pdf |
