69 c20 Lowering ? 77 big 10 donner

Last year I bought a 69 c20
It is a desert survivor
Some mods, some missing, but over all a good truck.
I was thinking rest mod
Then I decided to make a few repairs and enjoy it
Now I'm toying with lowering it a bit and making some improvements.
I came across a 77-78 big 10 so I drug it out of a pasture and brought it home
Figured I would do something with it

Sorry for the long back story

So lowering the 69 c20 ? should I, can I use the 77 suspension, brakes, rear axle

Or should I stay 8 lug and use spindles, springs to lower it

Thanks in advance

And Happy Easter to all.
