first question will 2600 pd bags support my truck i found a good deal on some and wondered if strong enough plus i have 20's wit a3/4 drop how much more will i have to lower it to lay frame im fixin to start cnotch'n the frame and all that i was wonderin how much more i would have to drop it to make it lay any help or anyone that could post there specs would be great im just lookin for some insight on thesubject since it wil be my first time bagin somthin tanks

Are you going to run the same tires or a lowe profile? Take a tape measure and measure how high you frame is, then go measure how far you rearend is from the frame and that how you can figure how big you want your notch. To lay frame is not all bolt on you will have to cut alot of stuff. 2600# bags work fine.

there not reallylow im not positive on the series id have to go look (bout 3 inches of sidewall) but there 2600 bags wiht 3/8 valves but im gonn get some 1/2 inch electrical its only 4 valves but ill wait adn get 4 more for the side to side later on but hes chargin me 900 u think thats a good deal for bags 8port 5gall tank takes 1:15 to fill up any opionons ponitersetc would be great thnks

What does your lowering kit consist of? Bags I know, but drop front spindles? Any major frame mods? How much of a c-notch?

I am running the dropped spindles. and the frame is notched with a frame notch from CPP. It puts the truck pretty low in the rear. When the truck is aired out the rims are even with the tops of the fenders

Do you have any suspension pics of your truck? This sounds exactly how I would like to have mine.

So far I have C-notched the frame. I plan on 2.5" dropped spindles and #2500 bags on all 4 corners.

But as for the C-notch, I just hope I did enough. Did you have to cut your bed?

And how about tire sizes? It looks perfect. Do you think they fit right? Or would you have done something different?

On the rear i wouldnt run the 2500's. I would run an airbag that slam specialties sells. the slams have a threaded plate that you put bolts in to hold the air bag in place on the frame and the 2500's have studs that might not be long enough to clear through the frame. The bed didnt need to be cut because the notch isnt big enough to need it. The rear tires are a 275/35/20 and you have to be careful when you center the rear end because the tire might want to lay on the inside of the bedsides. i will try to get some pics this weekend so that you can see what i am talking about.

I will watch for the Slam Specialties bags. You wouldn't have a part number would ya?

Also, what size of tires are you running on the front?

I tried to reply to your question a few days back but the computer secided otherwise.
here is a break down of what I am running. I have the slam specialties RS 72 bags front and rear, and yes they bolt in very easy. I also have the CCP notch in the rear and when aired out the rim is right at the fender. as far as the front I have the McGauhy (Spelling) 2.5" drop spindles. the front bags are bolted in with an upper plate and lower cup in the spring pocket. i did however trim one inch off the spring cup to add almost another 2"s of drop.
For tires I am running 275/35/20 rear and 245/35/20 fronts. I have all 3/8" line with smc valves and two viar 450 compressors.

Norcal you and Orange have great looking trucks.
I have a longbed 69 and im thinking about just bagging the front.
So when its parked, the nose is close to the ground with the back just above the tire. My question, how is the ride with airbags?
If I mix bags with a regular lowered rearend, will my ride be rough?

As far as ride quality I would have to say my truck rides 5 times better than it did with the conventional drop. the front rides absolutely just like a car with the rear a little more springy. I think you would have a normal ride in the rear and a smooth ride in the front with only front bags, but believe me once your able to lower the front when parked you will be bitten by the airbag bug and want it all. plus it is much more versatile.
