Production Numbers for Blazers for '73 - '75
I'm trying to find a source where production numbers are posted. Does anyone know how many Blazers were produced in '73, '74 and '75?
Thanks, in advance, Greg.

MrandMrs4X4, thanks that is very helpful, but I'm also wondering how the VIN Numbering system works? I have unit no. 175,XXX so I'm wondering what vin no. the first of the 50,548 units was?

For Vin information.. you can go here.
http://www.lmctruck.com/chevy_truck_cat_page.htm
Order LMC's catalog.. and inside the first 2 pages.. it list's the VIN number break down of all chevy trucks.. to include the Blazer.

Thanks for the lead, I looked at the LMC catalogue, and it appears the first unit was 100,001. Based on this numbering system, the Blazer (unit number 175,XXX) would be the 75,XXX unit produced, which is 25,000 more than the reported 50,548 indicated on the Colorado K-5 bulletin.
I'm just curious if there are others out there that have serial numbers this high in '75 or if there is other unit production totals out there to support the fact that over 75,000 were produced in '75.

how many plants were they built at? If there was more than one plant, that could explain the oddly high sequential number. I have had two 75's, but I never paid attention to the serial sequential number.

Blazers were build inline with the rest of the trucks. It will almost be impossible to find the exact numbers of all of the Blazer/Jimmys since all recieved a sequetial number starting with the first truck not the first 2wd Blazer

Chris, that information helps alot. That certainly explains the higher serial number than noted production numbers. Thanks.
