Noob searching for help with model of my truck

Hey all, first off Awesome to be part of a community that is all devoted to the saving of these elderly vehicles.

OK. My question, I have just acquired a potential jem GMC from my father in law wich I am told by a local mechanic is a 64. Hoping someone out there may be able to shed some light on what series and forsure what year it is. I am considering making it into a drop tail hauler for my race truck
