Rear tyre size

Hey,

A quick question from a new truck owner in England if you don't mind?

The read arch needs a tad more tyre, what would fit well?

1965 C10 SWB. 3 inch lower in the rear. 8/15 inch Rev wheels. Stock tubs.

Currently running 235/75/15. Looooaaaads of space on the outside of the tyre and some on the inside.

Having read some threads I think that 265/70/15 should fit. Have I got that right? is there anything else I ought to consider?

Thanks for the advice. It is weird, always been a VW guy since school and know them inside out, its been good learning new stuff.

Heydon,

I have a 285/60/15 on an 8" wheel with 4.25" back spacing that fits without issue.

Well just....

Thanks Paul, really helpful. So I just need to make my mind up on profile but the width suggested will be more than fine. I am aiming for the rear to be a tad higher than the front so need to work our sidewall height.

Pics of the C10 and a sneaky VW shot too for the hell of it.

Re: Rear tyre size

That is a nice looking truck Sir!

What are the details?

You could always go to a dropped spindle on the front to loose 2 1/2" off the altitude...

As a Dubber you should be more than used to scrapping everywhere!

Re: Rear tyre size

Thanks

The front is on dropped spindles- 2.5inch. Rear is on 3 inch lowered springs. I can fit lower springs front and lowering blocks rear but will see how things go.

Detail wise- looking at the paperwork it seems to have handed from father who bought it from new to son. Bill of sale and service history included. The LT1 was installed 2012.

Has a funky patina and seems good so far.

Will upload some pics when internet speeds up... Super slow at the moment.
