Flat Black Paint

I'm looking for a good durable flat black paint with a good sheen, something that isnt too tough to spray and will be a good lasting paint. Are there any ideas or opinions on any flat black paints?

Kyle, I really like Blitz Black. If you have a John Deere store near you[and who doesn't?] you can buy it in spray cans to try the color out or it can be had in quarts and gallons. It is made I think by Valspar and is some real quality stuff. the price is pretty good too.

I,m thinking of using S.P.I. black epoxy primer,it has UV protection.Look it up online and you can see the sheen and other write ups on it

As a Coatings specialist I challenged SPI to provide documentation that proves thier epoxy is UV stable. They could not provide this claim in writing. I pressed for clarification and they declared in an email to me that it is NOT UV stable.
All epoxies are not UV stable and will chalk when exposed to UV.

Re: Flat Black Paint

Kyle, if your looking to go dollars down look at some equipment enamel. You can often buy a gallon with it s activator/hardner[ whatever] for less than $50. that is right 2 sprayable gallons for $50 bucks. You have several color choices and they have a semi flat black and a full flat black at the local parts to I go to. Try a place maybe like [if your local store doesn't have it or can't get it] Tractor Supply or even a hardware store like Ace.
I live in a farming town so every parts store has their own kind but it is tough as a railroad iron and stays forever and will even stick to grease! I had sprayed some trucks for a customer with it and it had gloss retention way past the 8 year mark.
