Having fitment problems with radiator from advance and napa

The radiator in my 68 finally gave up. I ordered one from advance auto, too deep and wouldn't fit my mounts. Tried one from napa today, same thing.

I don't want to spend the money on an aluminum one until I tear the truck down. Mostly because I don't know what engine/trans combo I m going with.

I have searched and found a couple people happy with the rock auto ones, but I don't want to get it and be out shipping if it doesn't fit.

If you are using a thicker core radiator then the original, you have to change the mounts. they are available from most specialty stores like Classic Parts.

Do a search on Champion here on the forum, there have been at least 2 threads on it this year alone.

What "row" are you buying? GM used 2 sets of mounts. One set was for the 2 and 3 row and a wider set was used for the 4 row. If using a wider 4 row you need the wider upper and lower mounts and rubber pads.

I have three row mounts and only want to replace with a 3 row. I will look into the champion.
