1972 chevy truck swap

Need some advice and help I just got this truck frame 1972 Chevy half ton heavy duty four wheel drive three on the tree that's going to get swapped to a four speed on the floor I got it for $400 bucks with brand new tires and chrome mags pretty good deal I think and I'm going to be putting my 84 Chevy two wheel drive truck body on it what all do I need to do there both full size eight foot beds!!

You might wanna check the wheel base on both trucks i believe they are different.You will have to make all the body mounts and if your 2wd truck has a low hump trans tunnel it needs the high hump one.

I made sure the wheel base was the same and there both 131 now my floor hump I will most likely put a bolt in one everyone's telling me I need to change the mounts and this and that when there both a full size truck eight foot beds I may need to switch body mount rubber and bolts to the 72 year

The 84 is 131.5 wheel base while your 72 is 127 wheel base btw.

I have read through a few threads here before. I have not tried to do it myself but it seems like it was tough for them and I think the problems were the rear of cab/front of bed. You might be able to get some ideas by searching the body swap the other way around (older truck on newer frame) That might clear up some of the issues they had and give you a better idea of what changes.
