What to do with motor/trans...

I wanted to throw this out there to get some opinions. I have a 1960 apache I picked up a couple weeks ago from the original owner's son. It has an inline 6 and 3 speed on the column. I have no intentions of using the motor/trans. I debated on getting it running to sell, but don't really want to put any money in it.

I have no idea if the motor is any good. I am thinking of giving it away to anyone that could bring it back to life. I would like to keep the fan off of it and the valve cover, but that's it. I hate the idea of taking it to a dump.

What should I do?

Thanks,
Heath

When I pulled my motor I put it on Craigslist and someone came the same day to pick it up. I listed it in the Free section and the Auto - Parts General.

I'd put it in the free section for sure. Someone will come and get it.
