Are any of these parts useful for anything other than scrap?
I did a disc brake upgrade on my '70 C2500, so I now have a complete 3/4 ton drum brake setup.
Who on earth would ever want a full drum brake setup for a 1970 3/4 ton truck? Before I haul it to the dump or take it in for scrap (heavy stuff!) speak up if you're local! I hate to scrap stuff but I just can't see anyone using them. I'd probably keep the drums but the rears were close to their limits (didn't check the fronts). Also have the upper and lower control arms, spindles, steering link, and everything else that got replaced. Also scrap?

If you have room for it, SAVE IT. Besides, steel prices are low right now, at the very least, you could get more money later.
Labeling the parts would be a good idea. |

Dave I recently parted out a 68 1/2 ton drum front suspension on the parts board. I've still got some small stuff like the spindles and drums but pretty much everything else sold over a period of about a month or so. I'd hold on to it rather than scrap it if you have the room.

Well, the literal answer is, someone who wants a stock truck rather than a modified one.

And those people probably already have drum brakes! Maybe in 20 years if a bunch of the dropped rides get returned to stock there might be a big run on front suspension but I'm not storing them 20 years for someone....

Give me a couple of days notice and it'll be yours if it's still here! Also have a windshield, lots of random stuff.

Good luck. I couldn't give that stuff away when I converted.
