96 vortec 305 mechanical fuel pump???

will a 96 vortec 305 block/engine have the provission to put a mechanical fuel pump on it?im wanting to carb it is the reason i ask?

thanks for the confirmationso would my best bet be to run a carter elec pump??? anyone have a part number on ones they have run?

The carters work well, but are pretty noisy. Sorry no part numbers. Why not just run the factory pump and a regulator plumbed back into the return line?

so i could use the factory in-tank pump with a regulator on the rail?? this is for a 95 s10 with a 4.3 tbi.

Yes. Run the factory fuel line to a regulator, then the reg to the carb. Also run a return line back to tank from reg for excess fuel. Nice and simple.

Contact Summit for a recommendation and give them all the information of the system. When you place the order for parts, put that person's name on the form when do and if it doesn't work out, you can return it with no hassle.
