Inner fender color and paint

Not sure if this should be in the paint section or not. First up after getting the body of my Sub home is the inner fenders. Body work, sand blasting then epoxy primer. Figured I should shoot the black on it within the recoat window for the primer.

What black should they be? Satin or semi gloss? Any suggestions on type or brand of paint?

Thanks

Paul

Re: Inner fender color and paint

I like satin. SPI's epoxy is what I use and holds up nicely with the fluids under the hood.

Satin and semi-gloss is pretty much the same thing.

I used the VHT epoxy paint for struts and shocks. It's supposed to be gloss, but ends up with a nice Satin finish. One plus of it is that it's medium temp and pretty durable

Re: Inner fender color and paint

Thanks guys. What I'm looking for is the "correct" finish color and texture. I've restored a couple Mercury Cougars and there is a paint that matches the correct color on the engine compartment.

The inner fenders and radiator support are the same color and I'd like to match factory as best as possible.
