Smile 49 chev truck load bed and a jag chassis????

Hi folks any ideas on fitting my load bed to a jag chassi.. I am ready to do this with my build and dont want to make any mistakes .. I suspect that I will need to weld build support from the chassis to support the frame that has been welded to the bottom of my load bed .. Hope that makes sense would appreciate any input pls

Re: 49 chev truck load bed and a jag chassis????

got any pics? not sure what part of the Jag you're using. did you mount the Jag stuff under a truck frame?

I've worked on some Jags and don't recall them having much of a frame. The deals I've seen the guys pulled the complete suspension units out of the Jag and mounted them under the track. IIRC, all that.

Load bed = pickup bed?

The bed is supported on the bed cross sills. The cross sill mount to the stock frame with wood blocks for spacers. I do not have a AD Factory Manual maybe some one with one will post a pic.

Re: 49 chev truck load bed and a jag chassis????

H have used a complete jag chassi and am mounting the chev truck to it .... So my question was what is the best way to mount the load body onto the jag chassis .
The best advice so far appears to be, to weld in the cross sills onto the load body. then build a support frame on to the jag chassi that I can bolt the load bod onto ?

Hope that makes some sort of sense
Thank you so much for the input What a load of fun .....
