Started out just wanted to tighty up the fuel tank.?
Didn't want to give the state patrol a reason to deny me an inspection because the fuel tank looks Iffy...

Clean off the data plate to see the size and date.
This tank was built when "Ike" was president...1951
made in Usa
looks like a 21.6 gallon tank

That truck's lookin' good. You may need to get placard before they let you drive away: http://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=46.37.467
And it looks like you don't need to get fuel from a specific source such as a gas station since there is a special annual fee instead of tax: http://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=82.38.075
I was wondering if the tank needs re-certification, but maybe not since it's permanently mounted.

Thanks for that wasn't aware of the placard
Road tax " To encourage the use of nonpolluting fuels" ....... Ouch
Yes it would be cheep $80 if i was going to put on say 10-15,000 miles on it a year but because The island i live on is only 15 miles long a doubt i'll be putting on 100-200 miles a yr that make it pricey $80 for the privilege to drive a "nonpolluting truck
.
I'm wondering if i can push it back into the sticker bush...
Whom I kidding this is my cross to barr...

part number 6 and 9 from lmc truck should fit your fender
you'll only use a sliver of the fender panel but the fender brace will be the same
with some creative hammering you could introduce the curve if you need to
your viking uses the same 31-38 cab and thus the back portion of the fend should fit too

yes and no...
I understand buy the lower fender piece (outer skin) and hammer and stretch
it to the shape
I don't have those skills... I've tried it doesn't come easy

the magic is were the inner fender skin that runs up the edge of inside the fender & connect to the lower corner of cab bracket that inner piece is gone
either have to fab it a find a good used fender to butcher
.
Stdby I got a pic......Sp
