61 frame question

Name: smallframe.jpg
Views: 159

Hi,

New to your forum, first time "post".

I've got a 61 Chevy Fleet side short box project that the previous owner decided to cut the mounts for the front bumper off. I'd like to have a front bumper on my truck and am trying to verify what the measurement should be on the attached diagram. I did find this diagram on this website as well as a lot of other valuable information.

Thanks for any assistance with this.

Dave

Re: 61 frame question

48 -39.17 = 8.93" or 8 93/100ths of an inch.
Call it 9" and no one has to go blind!
Lets see what others say.

Re: 61 frame question

Thanks very much for the info, I really appreciate it.

What are the chance that someone may have a parts frame that they'd be willing to sell me the front 10" or so from each side? Mines cut off on both sides only a couple inches past the
radiator support mounts. I figured I'd ask, never know... or I'll just have to do some clever recreating of what was there.

Thanks again, Dave

Re: 61 frame question

You can join the site and become a supporting member and post a WTB in the parts section. Chances are good someone will respond to your ad.
