Tach Question
I am wanting to mount a tach on my dash. Maybe a 4 inch I think 5 is to big.
Anyway anyone have any ideas trying not to break the bank, but dont want junk either. Also those who did thid how did they mount it double sided tape screws? Thanks

i have seen them screwed into the window piller using the factory screw hole. i have also seen both way of mounting to the dash. i mounted mind on the column, but i did it rather ghetto, i used a hose clamp.. worked fine..

I had mine like that on my old 71 but it always blocked my speedo.

ahh well, the only thing my blocks are the idiot lights on the fuel gauge.

mine is on the dash
i screwed mine into the dash on the right side where it goes up around the instrument cluster. i didnt want it on the colum blocking out the speedo. i just drilled a hole for the wires and used some self tapping screws. the angle of the dash pas is perfect the tach points directly at me. mine is a 79 in 81 and up the angle on the dash is different and probably wont look as good

Yeah, the hose clamp is definately not ghetto. Autometer even sells the clamp, but I don't think they call it a hose clamp, something like a attaching clamp assembly.
