55-59 full cab floor replacement
Has anyone replaced the whole floor in their 55-59?
I picked up the dynacorn one piece floor with steps, rockers, braces, etc. Just looking for some tips/tricks/motivation. http://www.dynacorn.com/ShowItem.aspx?item=1107C Thanks. -Joe |

Re: 55-59 full cab floor replacement
Get your door gaps as close as possible, then triangle brace the cab as close to the floor as possible. Keep it on the frame.

Re: 55-59 full cab floor replacement
From my experiences with replacing floors that jig that's in the classic truck article is way to restrictive and most of the bracing just isn't needed. You need to be able to get inside and work on the spot welds. get your head in along with the Mig gun and see what your tacking and welding.
This is what one we use on Taskforce. It has since been modified to allow lifting by a fork lift |
