Ok I'm a dummy......How do you tell the difference between the single or double wall tops.
I assume the single is textured on the inside like the outside ??

Re: single wall top ??

Top bedside bolts under the bed rail/behind the rear panels? Double wall. Bolts easily accessible from the top of the bed rail? Single wall.

Also the double wall has a seam down the middle on the inside.

Re: single wall top ??

In case you need more indicators:

Double wall has ribbed pattern running front to back on inside ceiling. Single wall has fewer, larger ribs running side to side on inside ceiling.

Re: single wall top ??

Most prefer the single wall because:

1) Doesn't sag like double wall

2) doesn't require the removal of side panels to bolt on or unbolt

3) Has courtesy lights built in

4) Some claim the single is lighter than the double, but I have both and they both weight about the same.

4) They are harder to find because fewer were made in 1972 before the body style was changed to the square body style, which takes a different top. Therefore people want the rarer stuff.
