im trying to add Power Steering on my 69 p/u and i was wondering what all do i need? is it really as easy as buying parts from the Autozone and installing them?

-PS gear box?

you will need the mounting brackets for the pump, cannot get them at Autozone...may be able to find at a local autodismantler or order them from LMC Truck or TruckandCarshops

yep pretty much, i just did this swap so if you need help let me know.

I used a CPP 500 series quick ratio box (AWESOME!!)

The only other things you need is a pump pulley nut, pump bracket to mount the pump, belt, fluid, hoses (that you will probably have to bend and alter a little bit yourself)....new rag joint (3/4 - 30 Spline).....and then you will need an alignment afterwards

I did my conversion with a pump and box off a mid 80s junkyard suburban. Direct bolt on, some modification to the bumper mount, and had to relocate my alternator to passenger side. This conversion does require the use of a long nose waterpump.

I found a guy with a 85 c10 and I pulled everything for 40bucks. I'm going to clean up the pulleys and brackets and paint them pretty before install. If the weather clears up I will have it done by this weekend.

Pump, brackets, box, pulleys (every pulley that was on the system), belts, hoses, and pitman arm all for 40bucks! I'm anxious to put them on. I hope my water pump will work

Your truck should have a short water pump on it, the later model donor will have a long pump. You're gonna need to swap the pump too.
