New guy - looking for blazer

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and I'm looking for a first gen blazer project. I've been searching for a while and have been close to pulling the trigger a few times but it just hasn't happened yet. There is one for sale near me that may have some potential but needs a lot of work. Here are some photos what do you all think?

Re: New guy - looking for blazer

You would be money ahead to spend 10-15k on a better truck.. The little pc's missing are very tough to locate

Forgot to mention - The seller told me it was pretty much complete (minus original seats) when he took it apart to start working on it & all the parts come with it - I'm waiting on more photos.

Re: New guy - looking for blazer

I agree. Better to find a more complete K5. Depending on your goals with the build and experience it could be a really painful slog to restore this one. Sounds like this could be a potential parts truck though.

Re: New guy - looking for blazer

The bumper adjacent to the front clip does not appear to be correct for a 69-72 K5 but that on the frame does.

Re: New guy - looking for blazer

that is a 73- newer bumper , you might check craigslist and some local advertising sites and see if you can locate a more complete rolling/running project

Re: New guy - looking for blazer

I think I live too far north to find a decent project that hasn't been messed with as much as this one has. I have family in Texas and I have them looking, so if anyone has one for sale in South Texas let me know and I'll have my cousins come take a look at it before I drive down to pick it up!

I just can't bring myself to buy one sight unseen. I'd like to at least have someone I know/trust take a look at it first. This is THE reason I don't have one already...

Re: New guy - looking for blazer

I do salvage cars and trucks for a living so it's a lot easier for me to buy sight unseen.
if U find something shoot me a pm .longer distance hauls are going for around .40 a mile
