What is this?

I cannot figure what this is off my 1972 GMC Sierra Grande. I have the truck for 35 years and had this in my toolbox for quite sometime and trying to figure what it is and where it goes. Anybody know?

Looks like the handle from a fire extinguisher? Not sayingtit is, though. Not sure

part of a hand grenade, when you pull the pin... thats the part that flys off. I cant tell the color but if its blue then its part of a training hand grenade looks kinda blue with red on the end.

Its the identical color as my truck Hawiian Blue or medium blue
and found it with my other truck parts so just wondering what it is if it could have come off it some place.

Wow really ! I use to take my son to the Army surplus quite a bit and we would come home with some stuff like that but would have guessed it. The end is black where it appears the handle might be. They much have used GM colors on the things.
