Thursday i had my rocker panel put in at school while i was working on the door as the instructor turned away to come inspect my work on the door the kid welding my rocker panel in welded in the outer panel and left a huge gap between it and the floor board, damn near an inch and so now i have to go back on monday and cut it out and weld it back in properly but the thing is that i did not notice it until late this afternoon because i have had a bad fever since and been unable to get out and look at it but now I am mad because i have to fix somebody elses F*** up which will put me off even longer on working on the other things that need to be fixed rust wise.

This is why you do not let other people work on your truck..(unless the are a qualified mech , welder etc.)

Thats why my truck never saw the shop at school. I barely trust myself sometimes, let alone people who don't know what they are doing.

Not sure i'm reading it right, it's sticking out an inch at the dog leg and cab corner? Or you have a gap between the floor outer lip and the rocker inner lip for the inner rocker which should have been installed first?

If I understand your problem correctly there is supposed to be a gap, maybe 1/2 - 3/4"

before you go cutting the rocker back out , hang your door and see how it fits .... if the rocker is lined up to the hinge pillar and back latch post it can't be extremely far out ...just a thought
