69 C60 For Me?
This is probably not the perfect truck for me, but it's right around the corner and I think it's off-the-charts cool!! Thinking a new diaphragm might take care of the axle problem, but what abut the brakes? Been doing some reading on here and brakes on these sound like they could be a real can of worms. Also, will this thing even go down the highway? It wouldn't have to do 75, but I will need to do some highway towing.

Nice truck is right.
Like the Spoke Wheels. Low Miles. Good Sheet Metal. Flatbed Dump to boot. Not a bad price.

Re: 69 C60 For Me?
With a 366/4spd/2spd rear, what would a reasonable top speed be? What rear gear ratios were available in these trucks, if I knew that I could do the math. Rear axle appears to be stuck in low range so driving it wont answer my question.

Re: 69 C60 For Me?
A truck this nice should still have the SPID Label on the Inside of the Glove Box Door in good condition or better. It will list the Rear End Ratio on it.

I am sometimes[most times] wrong but I think it might be a 6.50 gear. Yeah that is deep

Thanks Bill. I am going to try to get a look at it tomorrow.
Hugger. Deep, yes, but pretty tall tire too. |

Re: 69 C60 For Me?
That is a nice truck at a decent price - even with the work it needs.
