Interior upgrades=spending too much money

So my truck had some hand me down black carpet, a black dash pad because the repop blue ones are too bright, steel door panels, and some Mexican blankets on my buddy buckets. After scoring a really nice set of door panels and armrests off a board member, I decided to just bite the bullet and finish my interior...in all blue. So I've installed a new dark blue dash pad from The Truck Shop, 552 blue ACC carpet from stockinteriors.com, and PUI foams and blue seat covers from Summit. A friend of mine owns an upholstery shop and I did some work on a truck of his in exchange for him helping me do my seats, which will happen as soon as the covers show up. I also decided to replace the cheesy four screw shift boot ring with a nice Lokar one. The 67 blue is not repoped but these pieces are super close and match well together.

Oh yeah, and I just had to get a CST horn cap from a member too. I may be eating Ramen for a couple weeks!

What it looked like before, when the door panels got the ball rolling.

Lookin' good all over. Interiors are where the details are most appreciated... by the driver. My '67 will have precious few custom touches to set it off to the eyes of those who know. I had it all gathered in red and now going black after certain cool parts coming into my hands. That interior in yours does what's right for it's overall vibe. I like it!

Looks real good and really stands out. The seat will really bring it out also.

Re: Interior upgrades=spending too much money

I think our blue interiors are the best looking but hardest to get. Here's a medium blue dash pad on top of a dark blue dash pad. I ended up using the medium blue. I'm still searching for the blue armrests. Your interior is looking great. Can't wait to see your seat.

Very nice Chris. Just consider it an early birthday present to yourself. I'm also going with blue.

Re: Interior upgrades=spending too much money

Looks great! I know what you mean about the reppo dash. It's tough doing a blue interior because there were several different blues, but only one set of repro parts.

Here's mine with that light blue dash - I pulled it all back apart (!) and dyed it body color dark blue.

My birthday is in Jan, so I should be able to get myself another present in a couple months.

Yes, original style in blue. I got lucky coming up with a six cyl tach as quickly as I did.

My buddy that owns an upholstery shop, along with myself, spent today doing my seats. They turned out great.
