How do I go about removing this stinking dashpad? I am having trouble

DASH
I JUST INSTALLED NEW PAD HAD 4 OR 5 SCREWS VISIBLE AND I BELIEVE 6 NUTS 3/8 SOCKET SHOULD REMOVE 4 DOWN AND 2 IN ANLGE ON ENDS

It's held on with little nuts on the back side, best way is to take glove box and dash bezel out to get to the nuts.

Remove the screws that you can see on the outside under the pad then you will have to remove the instrument cluster and the glovebox to get to the screws on the bottom side. I hope this helps!!

You guys never cease to amaze me
Just shot the black paint and she is looking good! Now.... Can I paint the dashpad? (I am cheap lol) Or do I need to dye it? Same thing for the door panels. Thanks - Jeremy

if your dash pad in in good shape, you can get vinyl paint from an auto parts store or from walmart.

I have used the vinyl paint on 2 dash pads to date and really like it.
However, I have done door panels too, and I do not recomend it onless it is a temp deal. After a year of daily driving, they'll start to look pretty rough again. Make sure you clean the parts REAL good. Use a pre-paint cleaner too. Remember that silicone has probably been sprayed on there many many times, adn paint (including dyes) do NOT like silicone. |
