'71 A/C wiring

I am in the process of re-wiring my 1971 K10. I am installing an American Autowire 20 circuit upgrade. Question I have involves the A/C heavy gauge Pink and Orange wires that appeared to have gone to the harness itself, that were not connected. They were part of the original A/C harness. The American Autowire kit does not have a place to wire them. The original wiring diagram does not have the Pink wire going to the harness. Does anyone know how I can wire these in, oe ore importantly what I am talking about?

This should get you up to speed.
RTFM Use the Factory Chassis Service Manual schematics!
As far as a universal harness goes, don't expect more than the basics from it and a lot more work to get it close to right.

Tim,

Thank you for the information. I knew I came to the right place for answers. So do know where I can get a Factory Chassis Service Manual?

Most any of the board vendors can supply you with a reprint and originals do show up in the classified section. Of course, off-board sources like Faxton or eBay are options.

To get you started though, you can download a workable PDF from the thread linked in my signature. Line "RTFM..."
