Let's see those painted front bumpers
Debating whether to repaint my bumper on my '62 since it is in perfect shape or go with the bling of chrome...

Re: Let's see those painted front bumpers
Here's the one on my 66. I sanded it down put 2 coats of rust-oleum self etching primer, then red scotch brite pad, then 2 coats of rust-oleum semi-gloss white. All without taking the bumper off the truck. Maybe I'm lazy, I don't know. Truck sits outside all the time and is my daily driver, I think it's held up well. I'm in the process of restoring another grill for it and am doing it the same way. Joseph

Re: Let's see those painted front bumpers
If you want chrome get yours replated.
The quality in the after market bumpers is not that great. Re-chroming is expensive. Personally I would do a re-paint. |

Re: Let's see those painted front bumpers
Here you go Reed.
I'd say unless you've got any other chrome / custom trim then leave it painted. Lets see a full shot?
