Really Skinny Spare Tire?

Does anyone know of a Really Skinny Spare Tire that works for our trucks? Like maybe a Nissan or Toyota or aftermarket or something?

Re: Really Skinny Spare Tire?

I found a much easier one to use and its so stupid after you find out and if your not a numbers matching fool and just want a skinny spare tire

Now don't laugh cus this is what they got it from and its never changed throw the 50 years I've been seeing them

Now wait for it.................................................................................

Trailer spare there all 15-16 inch 6 lug rim & tire 5-6 inch wide i use one under my 1972 3/4 ton 8 lug rim with a 215/85/16 its a skinny tire but it works and it will always go on the rear never put it on the front.

Re: Really Skinny Spare Tire?

we recently received a fresh fleet of gmc canyons that all came with space saver spares..

haven't measured one but this site shows some optional sizes in those trucks..

https://www.iseecars.com/car/2017-gmc-canyon-tire-size

the T175/80R18 listed is 29" tall and 6.9" wide [enter size and calculate https://tiresize.com/calculator/]

quick search didn't turn up any for sale but a call to your local gm dealer may reveal a p/n and price..

this would be useful for most situations where a TEMPORARY spare is needed just to get to a shop..

limited slip and locker equipped differentials aren't going to like it but sensible use of a spare should be ok briefly to get to safety..

in regards to using trailer tires on motor vehicles, better check your state's VC, may not be legal..

good luck!
