Finding the hidden door mirror captive nuts
Are the mirror mounting points in the same place on the passenger door as the drivers door? I have found what I believe to be the captive nuts on the inside of the passenger door skin but can get at them from inside. Would making a template of the drivers door and mirroring it work?

Re: Finding the hidden door mirror captive nuts
There's a thread on here somewhere about this subject.

Re: Finding the hidden door mirror captive nuts
There is a metal backing plate already in the door. If you make a template from the drivers side it will help to locate it. Also here is a link: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=611625

Re: Finding the hidden door mirror captive nuts
I used the above template measurements a few months ago and they were pretty darn close!
