Replacement for d2600 bags
Anyone have suggestions for replacing the d2600's in the front of my 2wd k5? Took the wife and kids out for a mothers day ride and one of the front bags ripped by rubbing on the stock sway bar. Left us stranded 60mi from home. Never paid any attention but the bar moves in and out of the mount on the lca. Looking for a bag that has the same range but less diameter bulge. Thanks

Re: Replacement for d2600 bags
I too had an issue with D2600 bags rubbing. I switched to Slam Specialties SS-7 bags. They are 7" in diameter instead of 8" like the D2600's. And their max height is only 1/2" less than the D2600's. The only big difference is if you run high PSI since the Slams are rated at 250 psi and the D2600's are rated at 600 psi.

Re: Replacement for d2600 bags
It is a stock 1&1/8" bar. Did the slam bags have the same mounting / port locations?
I have never put more than 90psi in the bags. Ride height is 45-50. I think I'm going to pull the bar off and cut some off the ends. Since I'm going to have it apart I'm going to push the lower arm a little forward to gain some caster. |

Yeah had the same problem. Got to cut about 1/2" off of ends of stock sway bar. Worked good
