just curious because I know where I could buy one for $40 and sure would beat buying a $200 sport bumper on the net

With some custom bumper brackets or drilling some holes n using the old ones go for it!! I've never seen one and it'd look custom for sure.

Re: has anyone tried putting a chrome front bumper on the rear?
Imagine you could make it work with a little "customizing" . My original step bumper on my 82 was shot. I went to my local "junkyard" and grabbed a rear bumper/ brackets off of a wrecked 89 Suburban. Was cheap, bolted on, and looks great.

Friend of mine put a 73-80 front bumper on the rear of his 88 Suburban, can't remember what it took to bolt up however.

Re: has anyone tried putting a chrome front bumper on the rear?
cool! maybe i'll take the rear step bumper off and hold a front one up to see. Wasn't sure if it was done or not and figured I'd ask. MalibuSSwagon that pic looks great using the older c10 bumpers so an 82 may look as cool!
thanks!
