4WD Hub Re-build

While in the process of going through my front brakes, I found that my passenger-side hub doesn't spin as freely as I think it should. Figuring that I might as well do a little PM work on the hubs while I am working on the front, I am wondering what type of things I should look for or look at replacing?

After cleaning everything up, I am also wondering what type of grease to use on the axle and hub bearings for lube and/or assembly purposes.

A simple bearing and race kit from your local parts store will do the job. The hard part is driving out the old races and hammering in the new ones. most parts stores have loaner tools that will help with the process.

For grease, I have been using Lucas high temp multi purpose red on everything I own with excellent results.

From what I have been able to find, I am planning on packing the bearings as usual and then putting a really thin/light coat over everything else (to keep movement smooth). I was definitely looking into the Lucas high-temp red as I really like their products.
