What's This Air Conditioning Code on my SPID?

I have the code "9947AA A/C CONVERSION" on the SPID for my 1971 GMC ambulance. I've tried to research this code with no luck so far, it doesn't look like an RPO so I assume it may be some kind of fleet code or other build provision related to the ambulance conversion. Any insights?

Did Suburban's still have roof only air on 1971?

Yours appears to have factory dash air. IIRC, that wasn't a factory option until '72.

So your truck must have went to special area to have the dash air installed.

Just a guess

Yes, it has factory dash air plus an aftermarket Mark IV a/c unit installed in the partition for the patient compartment.

Yes, it's the original. I took the photo 2 months ago.
