Question Anybody here use shorty headers????

I am trying to find a set of headers that don't hang down below the frame. I want to be able to tuck the exhaust up instead of having it almost drag the ground or speed bumps. Do the shorty Chevelle headers fit. Are there any clearance issues with shorty headers???? Any help would be very much appreciated. I will be going to the Super Chevy Shiow in Va this coming weekend, and I hope to find a set. I am running the hedman headers now and they just hang too low for my tastes......................... Thanks,..............Jerry

Ive heard the big block chevelle headers should fit too. I have a set that I was going to use on my suburban, but I no longer have the project.

Shane- can you post some pics showing how much hangs below your framerail???? $235+ is pretty steep for me if I want to keep my boss (yes she is in the room as we speak, sssshhhhh!!!) happy. I've seen shorty headers pretty cheap at some swap meets i've been to and was hoping to be able to pick up a set this weekend at the super chevy show. Would I need center dump headers or ones that dump in the rear? Thanks fellas, .......................Later..........................Jerry

Hey lotik, do you have any pictures of the block huggers, and how well do they fit. Do you have you engine in the V8 or I6 setting. How close do they come to the cross member under motor. Thanks onelow69

I don't have any pics of a "side view" ... but I will tell ya that they DO NOT hang below the bottom of the frame rail. As a matter of fact, they stop just past the TOP of the frame rail.
