Re: cargo lamp/ 3rd brake lamp combination

That would be great if someone did, but I've yet to find one. I converted mine to a third brake light, but now that you mention it, it would be very easy to create a combo. For the third brake light, I used the housing and put two Red LED lights in a fabricated mount. It works great, and is super bright. What you said got me thinkin. There is plenty of room in the housing to put one or even two clear LEDs in there and then wire it to the cargo lamp circuit. Then you get the combo you're wanting without changing the outward/stock lense. Awesome idea!

Dieselwrencher has done this mod using 1/4 size LED lights. I habe also copied his idea but haven't powered it up yet.

I used one from a 94-98 Silverado.... I had to reshape the mating surface with sand paper to make it fit the cab but it worked great.

I stuck a super-bright LED module (several watts) in much as the fellow above. Here's a picture of the lamp, the module, and the results. It still works as a cargo light too of course.
