Radio conversion?

Just got a 63 Corvair radio, I heard that you can pay to get antique radios to be modernized, I would love to do this myself, what is the easiest way to convert my Corvair radio to accept AUX. I did a little research here but I wasn't getting any good info thy I was looking for. Some people I saw go radios from junkyards, but I want to make mine to have a AUX, anyone know how that can be done? Thanks

Re: Radio conversion?

I am wondering where the business that do the conversions get their parts from. Is it a kit or something?

Yes, they rip the old parts out and drop in a small circuit board, they also clean and refurbish the outside to look like new. The radio will come with an iPod input as well. I'm having mine done for Father's Day.

I did this with the radio in my '66 truck. Works fine.

Re: Radio conversion?

I did a stereo conversion with www.vintagecarradio.com for my 1967 Chevy Truck. They did a great job but just know it can take two months or longer to get back.
